Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your use of Thames Uro, operated by Findlay MacAskill Medical Services Limited (England & Wales, Company No. 09909734), registered office 31 The Green, Writtle, CM1 3DT, "we"/"us". By using the platform you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Questions: info@thamesuro.com.
⚠️ Educational use only — not medical advice. Thames Uro is an exam-revision tool for the FRCS (Urology) examination. Its content, AI examiner and AI-generated marks are for revision practice only. They are not clinical guidance and must not be used to make patient-care decisions. Always verify against current EAU / NICE / BAUS guidance and your own clinical judgement. We do not guarantee exam success, and AI-generated questions, answers and marks may contain errors or omissions.
1. Who can use it
The platform is for qualified doctors and surgical trainees preparing for the FRCS (Urol) exam. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Access is personal to you.
2. The service & tiers
- Free tier: practice with the standard AI examiner and marking at no charge.
- Premium tier: a higher-capability examiner and deeper marking, unlocked by spending premium credits.
We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, scenarios or tiers at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
3. AI-generated content
The examiner, questions, feedback and marks are generated by artificial intelligence. They are intended to be realistic revision practice, but they can be inaccurate, incomplete or occasionally wrong. Use them as practice, not as a definitive assessment of your ability or knowledge, and never as clinical guidance.
4. Premium credits & payments
- Premium credits unlock premium features. 1 credit = one premium station.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe; prices are shown at checkout in GBP and may include VAT where applicable.
- Credits are for your personal use, are non-transferable, and (unless stated otherwise at purchase) do not expire.
- We may change prices for future purchases; credits you've already bought are unaffected.
- Refunds: credits are digital goods delivered immediately, so purchases are generally non-refundable once credits are used. If something goes wrong — a technical failure, a charge in error, or unused credits within 14 days of purchase — email info@thamesuro.com and we'll put it right. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
5. Acceptable use & our content
All content — scenarios, model answers, questions, marking, design and the examiner — is our proprietary intellectual property, provided to you under a personal, non-transferable licence for your own revision. You must not copy, screenshot, record for redistribution, scrape, share, resell, or use the content to build a competing product. Access is logged and watermarked to your account.
6. Content you submit (your own cases)
Do not enter identifiable patient information. If you submit your own case to practise on, you must fully anonymise it. Do not include any information that could identify a real patient. You are responsible for ensuring anything you submit complies with your professional and legal confidentiality obligations.
By submitting a case (and choosing to share it), you grant us a licence to use it to provide and improve the service. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for exam outcomes, for reliance on AI-generated content, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Data protection
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms (for example, sharing content or misusing the service). You can stop using the platform at any time.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; the current version lives here. These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
